Getting to know… Lewis Hobson, Hire Controller
Lewis Hobson, Hire Controller at Total Hire and Sales, may be one of the newest staff members, but he’s already working his way up in the industry. We talked to him about his role, learning on the job and the importance of team work.
Lewis joined Total Hire and Sales just over a year ago and is based at the Derby Central Depot on London Road. Before joining the business, he was a Sports Coach, but since the switch, he has already worked his way up from Driver to Hire Controller.
His main day-to-day responsibility is organising transportation for Total’s tool and plant deliveries across the UK.
Lewis likes the firm’s close workforce, which is ‘like one big happy family’, and how everyone helps out and looks after each other. Describing himself as funny and confident, he is keen to learn and become the best he can be within the tool plant and equipment hire industry.
Outside work, Lewis loves watching football and socialising with his friends.
