Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust Announced as Total Hire and Sales’ 2024 Charity Partner
Total Hire and Sales has named the Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust as its chosen charity for 2024. Alongside parent company GF Tomlinson, Total Hire and Sales will undertake a year of fundraising activities in aid of the charity.
Aortic Dissection is a serious heart condition caused by a partial tear in the wall of the aorta, which prevents blood supply and can lead to organ rupture. The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust is the UK and Ireland charity uniting patients, families and the medical community to improve diagnosis, increase survival and reduce disability due to the condition.
The announcement comes after Total Hire and Sales and GF Tomlinson we contacted by Pauline Latham, OBE MP, urging Derbyshire firms to support the charity following the sad loss of her son, Ben, from the condition in 2018.
The firms have committed to various activities to help raise awareness and funds for the charity. Two of the team will undertake the gruelling 100km 24-hour Lake District Ultra Challenge in June, while a raffle with prizes from local businesses and an auction to win a corporate box day out at Uttoxeter Races are also planned.
